Rebecca Romijn-Stamos (Romjin pronounced as “Romaine”) was born In Berkeley, California, USA on November 6, 1972. She attended University of California in Santa Cruz in 1995 where she majored in music. Their family is not well-off so she decided to sign-up in a modeling agency at San Francisco. Romjin then left college and became a full-time model. She made big contracts from top fashion houses such as Christian Dior and Escada.

She have graced the pages of Victoria Secret’s catalogues in 1996 and became a model in the “Got Milk?” advertising campaign where she donned a milk moustache the same as Tyra Banks and other celebrities. Also that year, Romjin was featured in the 1996 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. Since then, she became a constant model in the magazine's every issue. Romjin was also featured in the People’ Magazine as one of the “50 Most Beautiful People” for 1997 and GQ's “Woman of The Year” for 1997. Then in 1999, she posed in the cover of the magazine with a painted-on swimsuit and again featured in People’ Magazine as one of the “50 Most Beautiful People” for that year.

Rebecca’s acting career on television comprised of several appearances in hit shows such as “Friends” and “Just Shoot Me.” She became a temporary host for NBC’s late night show “Later.” She had hosted MTV's “House of Style,” and sometimes co-hosting with model James King. For movies, she had a cameo performance in the film “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me,” an Austin Powers sequel. Her most famous movie role was in “X-Men,” a movie based on the long-running comic book series about teenage mutant superheroes. In the movie, she played the part of Mystique, a shape-shifting mutant. As Mystique, Romjin had to apply blue body paint, and other stick-on parts for 8 hours a day. She has been married to John Stamos on September of 1998.
