| Patricia Arquette was born in Chicago, Illinois, USA on April 8, 1968
but the family soon moved to a commune near Arlington, Virginia. Her parents
are Lewis and Mardi Arquette. She has four siblings Rosanna (9 years older),
Richmond (5 years older), Alexis (1 year younger), and David (3 years
younger). Arquette started in showbiz at the age of 18 in 1986's “Pretty Smart.” She was noticed for her starring role in “A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors” (1987), often considered the best film of the series. In 1989, her son from Paul Rossi, Enzo was born. She appeared in critically acclaimed movies such as “True Romance” (1993), “Beyond Rangoon” (1995), “Ethan Frome” (1993), “Lost Highway” (1997), and “Flirting with Disaster” (1996). She portrayed as a deaf epileptic in a T.V “Wildflower” in 1991 where she won the Cable ACE award. Arquette married award-winning actor Nicolas Cage in 1995 but after 6 years, divorced him on May of 2001. She tried her hand on Western films, playing the object of Woody Harrelson's and Billy Crudup's desires in Stephen Frears' “The Hi-Lo Country.” However, the film flopped in the box office. She also starred in “Goodbye, Lover;” “Stigmata,” in which she starred opposite Gabriel Byrne as the unwitting target of a supernatural phenomenon; and in Martin Scorsese's “Bringing Out the Dead.” |
