| Pamela Denise Anderson was born in Ladysmith, British Columbia, Canada
on July 1, 1967. She was the first Canadian baby that was born on Canada's
Centennial Day in 1967. Her family moved in Vancouver, Canada in 1988. She
worked there as a fitness instructor. Her career as a star began when a friend took her in a game of professional football of British Columbia Lions in 1989. Her friend was a representative of Labatt's brewery and made her wear the brewery's T-Shirt. The eyes of the cameramen spotted her and sent her picture on the big screen. The audience cheered Anderson, and was brought down to the 50-yard line to be introduced. After that stint, she was signed to a commercial contract with the brewery company and became their "Blue Zone" girl. Anderson became so popular with the campaign that other commercials and advertising assignments for her soon followed. The Playboy called her, and made her the cover girl in October 1989. When Anderson moved to L.A, she appeared on such sitcoms as "Married... With Children," "Married People" and "Top of the Heap." She posed for Playboy, appearing on the cover more than any other women. But it was her appearances on ABC's family sitcom "Home Improvement", as the show-within-a-show's sexy "Tool Time Girl", Lisa Sudarsky that made David Hasselhoff offer her to join the show that he produces, “Baywatch.” Anderson left “home Improvement” to take part in "Baywatch." She played lifeguard C. J Parker, where she was made to run, swim and act dressed in a one-piece Speedo swimsuit. She acted on films such as 1991’s crime thriller "The Taking of Beverly Hills," 1993’s "Snapdragon," 1994’s "Raw Justice," and 1996’s "Barb Wire." “Barb Wire” was a futuristic tale of a post-feminist action hero, which had flopped at the box office. Anderson was featured on CBS’ "Deader Than Ever," a hip and updated Mike Hammer mystery. She co-starred in the television movie "The Evolution of Mr. E.," adapted from the H.G. Wells short story, where she portrayed a quirky sculptor/artist. She starred and produced her own TV show, “VIP (Valery Irons Protection).” In the show, she played as the figure head of her security firm that protects celebrities. In 1995, Anderson married Tommy Lee, the drummer of Motley Crue on a beach; Pamela wearing a white bikini and Tommy wearing a set of shorts. They had wedding ring tattooed on their fingers, saying each other’s name. A homemade video of her and Tommy Lee engaging in sexual acts was allegedly stolen from their house in 1995 and was distributed all over the internet. One year after the birth of Brandon, their first child (1997), she filed for a divorce. However, Pamela and Tommy came back together and Dylan, their second son, was born later that year. But then again, the two split and Anderson dropped the “Lee” from her name. In April 2001, Anderson started seeing the rock singer Kid Rock, got engaged to him in 2002, and broke off in the fall of 2003. |
