She was the fifth element! Yes, that’s Milla Natasha Jovovich. Milla was born in Kiev, Ukraine, on December 17, 1975. She is the daughter of a pediatrician (Bogdanovitch Jovovich) and the stage actress, Gallina Loginova. From Russia, her family moved to United States, settling in Sacramento, California when she was still at the age of 5.

With an innate exotic Russian beauty, Milla took a step in modeling at the age of 11 where she was discovered by Prima modeling agency while having a start on her acting career. She took the modeling path and became world's youngest cover model. What’s more, at an early age of eleven, she was named as one of Revlon's Most Unforgettable Women in the World. Her modeling career had her earn $3,500 each day and appeared on enormous thirteen magazine covers.

Still not disrupted from her modeling career and capturing worldwide attention, she pursued her acting profession appearing as Sherilyn Fenn's little sister in Two Moon Junction (1988), Disney Channel fantasy feature, Night Train to Kathmandu and in the 1991 sequel to the delectably awful Brooke Shields flesh-fest Blue Lagoon (1980) Return to the Blue Lagoon (1991), and Dazed and Confused (1993).

Exploring another sphere of her talent, Milla at 18 released her debut album The Divine Comedy which was optimistically accepted and she underwent extensive tours in promoting his album. She was the one who composed The Alien Sing. While preparing for another shot in this industry, she received an opportunity to star in the movie The Fifth Element (1996) by French director Luc Besson. Soon after, she got married to Besson but divorced in 1999.

A year after, she played an ample role in Spike Lee's He Got Game as a prostitute. She worked again with Benson in the movie The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc. Although the movie did not obtain zeal from viewers, she was still applauded for her acting. Her next movie featured her as a mental patient in the futuristic film The Million Dollar Hotel by Wim Wenders. In 1999, she starred in the horror film The Boat House where she played as a teenager who loses her mind because of witnessing evil creatures. Next on her list was The Million Dollar Hotel and Kingdom Come.

Her credits include: Nominated Razzie Award Worst Actress for: Messenger: The Story of The Joan of Arc (2000), Nominated Blockbuster Entertainment Award Favorite Female Newcomer for: The Fifth Element (1998), 1998: Nominated MTV Movie Award Best Fight for: The Fifth Element (1997), Nominated Razzie Award Worst Supporting Actress for: The Fifth Element (1997), Nominated Razzie Award Worst New Star for: Return to the Blue Lagoon (1991) and Nominated Young Artist Award Best Young Actress Starring in a Motion Picture for: Return to the Blue Lagoon (1991).
