Milena Markovna Kunis aka Mila Kunis was born on August 14, 1983 in Kiev, Ukraine to dad, Mark, a mechanical engineer, and mom, Elvira, a physics teacher. In 1990, Mila’s parents moved from Ukraine to Los Angeles because of political turmoil. When they reached the mainland, her parents were forced to give up their former professions. Mark is now the president of a cab company and Elvira is a drugstore manager.

At 9, she went to an after-school acting classes at the Beverly Hills Studio. Mila quickly took to acting like duck to water. Entertainment manager Susan Curtis offered to take her under her wings when she saw Mila in one of the Studio's public showcases. It was not long until Mila appeared on a Payless ShoeSource commercial, and then later on an episode of the daytime soap “Days of Our Lives.”

She went to make guest spots on TV shows like “Baywatch” (1989), “Walker, Texas Ranger” (1993) and “7th Heaven” (1996). She even got a little role in the 1998 Richard Dreyfuss comedy “Krippendorf's Tribe” (1998). She was also cast in the made-for-TV movie “Piranha” (1995), “Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves” (1997) and the Hulk Hogan vehicle, “Santa with Muscles” (1996). Mila was also the lead in a Guess? clothing ad campaign.

The year 1998 gave her big break when she played the role of young Gia (Angelina Jolie played the grown-up version) in the HBO film of the same name. That same year, she won the part of Jackie on FOX’s “That '70s Show.”

She also had her forays in the big screen like the teen hit movie “Get Over It” (2001) with Kirsten Dunst and Sisqo and “American Psycho II: All American Girl” (2002) starring opposite William Shatner, playing the lead role of Rachelle Newman, a purported Patrick Bateman survivor.
