Born Liv Rundgren, she was raise by her mom Bebe Buell and rock artist Todd Rundgren but later found that her biological father in reality was the famous Steven Tyler of the legendary Aerosmith. The sultry sophisticated and porcelain skinned and 5’10” Liv moved to New York City from Portland, Maine with her mom when she reached the age of 14 and a year after, experiencing the sweet taste of modeling once she got bushed so she diverted to the world of acting this time.

Liv’s childhood resembles an ugly duckling story. As a child, Liv has a chubby face (ugly duckling) but after puberty, she decidedly performed outstanding improvements to her figure (swan princess). Thanks to their family friend and gorgeous model Paulina Porizkova who cajoled her for a pose for a portfolio of photographs.

Her career piloted towards acting started with a starring role in her father’s video “Crazy” where she co-starred with Alicia Silverstone. A taste of the big screen however, rolled up when she obtained a leading role in 1995's Empire Records followed by challenging roles in Silent Fall (1995), Stealing Beauty (1996) and Inventing the Abbotts (1997.) where she dated her co-star Joaquin Phoenix for almost three years. In four years time, she was able to obtained roles in seven motion pictures.

Liv Tyler’s biggest break came when she starred in Bruce Willis’s action hit Armageddon where she played as Ben Afleck’s love where her father also performed the love theme I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing. Her biggest movie portrayal ever was as elvin princess, Arwen in the phenomenal mythical fantasy trilogy based on The Lord of The Rings volumes.

Among the Awards Liv Garnered are; BFCA Award - Best Acting Ensemble (2004), Screen Actors Guild Award - Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture (2004), NBR Award - Best Ensemble Performance (2003) and Critics Award from Russian Guild of Film Critics - Best Foreign Actress (1999).
