Her movies that followed were “Step Mom” and “The Women”. After which she made terrific performances in both “Runaway Bride” and “Notting Hill”. In the 1999, she was nominated for an Emmy Award for her appearance in “Law and Order”. In 2000, her movies were “The Moviegoer”, “From Alice to Ocean”, and “Erin Brockovich”.

Being renowned, Julia is not free from the microscopic lenses of show business. Her personal affairs are juicy bits of news for paparazzi. Nevertheless, she learned the rope and got herself perfectly fit with the complicated world of Hollywood. She now owns a company by the name of Shoelace Productions. Her success in Hollywood earned her houses in Hollywood Hills, New York, and a retreat house of fifty acre in Taos, New Mexico.
