It never occurred in her mind that she’ll be a model someday, even joining one contest until the opportunity knocked. Heidi Klum, already an accomplished model started everything out as a fun. At age 18, she responded to an ad in “Petra” magazine, calling for audition in an upcoming model competition called “Model 92.” The drive did not really come from her self but from her friend who insisted to have her photo submitted to the qualifying board.

With a towering height of 5’9’ and a faultless 35-24-34 body, she geared towards the competition in Munich to compete on TV. What started as a fun eventually turned out to modify and mold her self.

After the competition, she immediately signed with a Metropolitan modeling agency starting off with a minimum of 3 years. She was given a break to have modeled to some fashion capitals in the world like Mapis and Milan.

For just a short time, Heidie saw her self in the pool of offers like appearing in several print advertisements. She poised and glittered magazines like Finesse, Bonne Bell, I-N-C, Gerry Weber and Givenchy's Amerige including an ad campaign for Victoria’s secret.

With the downpour of exposures (especially in Victori’s Secret), she was able to parallel to the spot of other supermodels like Yasmeen Ghauri, Tyra Banks, Helena Christensen, and Stephanie Seymour. Currently, she is signed with Elite Model Management.

Whilst Heidi emerged on Bride's, Cosmopolitan, Self, Glamour, and Mademoiselle covers, she also gained the recognition being the cover girl of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition's 1998.
Now a real stardom in her craft, she also tried to venture an acting career where she already had appearances on Spin City and Letterman Show. She also had a share of short-time appearance as V.I.P. patron in her feature film 54.

Heidi Klum was born on January 1, 1973 in Berisch Gladbach, Germany to father Gunther who worked for a cosmetics company, and mother Erna, who was a was a hairdresser and is married to hairstylist Ric Pipino.
