She is most popular with her platinum blond hair and tremendous red lips, not to mention her powerful voice - there is nothing more like it than Gween Renee Stefani (nickname – Sunshine, G-loc) of No Doubt.

Gwen Stefani was born in Orange Country California in October 3, 1969 to Dennis and Patti. She had two brothers - Todd and Eric and a sister named Jill.

Raised in California, she was tremendously influenced by the maturity of ska and punk music in the So Cal area.
The band No Doubt started with the initiative of her brother Eric and John Spence (Eric’s friend) in 1987. As a response to her brother asking her to join, frizzy Gwen agreed and became a co-vocalist with Spence. Later, Tony Kanal (to whom she also romantically engaged with), joined the posse and there gig started at local parties.

That same year, Spence committed suicide making Gwen the next lead vocalist of the band. In the stretch of having gigs, Gwen managed to graduate high school even continuing her studies at Cal State Fullerton College.
In 1989, guitarist Tom Dumont and drummer Adrian Young joined the band. With the band’s eagerness in performing, they were able to create a pedestal of their fans. The following year, they signed with Interscope Record through a demo tape that Flea, the bassist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers had recorded.

In 1992, the No Doubt released their self-titled debut album but it turned out as a flop commercially. This caused the record company to lose faith but with the band’s eagerness, No Doubt recorded another collection of their own compositions.
Everything had paid off with the release of their second album in 1995 titled The Beacon Street Collection. The hit is up again with Interscope regaining confidence with the band.

Following a very good-come back, Tragic Kingdom went beyond what the band was expecting. It was a big splash of success, only, without Eric Stefani who pursued a career in animation for the Simpsons.

With the punk-touched of the album’s debut single "Just A Girl", Tragic Kingdom became a big hit with its other single "Spiderwebs" and "Don't Speak,” an ode to Gwen and Troy’s former relationship that had a smash hit worldwide. The album topped the Billboard and gained two Grammy Nominations for the band.
Another release, Return of Saturn, hit the music scene in 2000, and featured the hits "Ex-Girlfriend" and "Simple Kind of Life".  In 1996, Gwen met Gavin Rossdale of Bush who eventually became her husband on September 14, 2004. She owns the fashion label L.A.M.B. and was voted as one of People Magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People of 2004.
