Carmen Electra, the red hot sexy celebrity, started out as a winner in her first dance contest at the tender age of 5 and continued to perform in over a hundred ballet and tap contests. Her name in real life is Tara Patrick but she altered it when the artist formerly known as Prince told her she appears like a Carmen after she initialed with his record company. Carmen, a name which originated from Hebrew / Latin means garden, field of fruit and song and her last name Electra means a Greek goddess.

Budding in White Oak, Ohio, at the age of nine, she was chosen for the School for Creative and Performing Arts. While studying there, she obtained singing lessons, and by her teenage years, she was already dancing in musicals and doing her individual choreographing for the school's theatrical group.

At the age of 15, Carmen moved to Minneapolis and lived with her sister and half-sister. She earned extra money by doing some modeling to some Target department stores. After four years of living with her sisters, she decided to move to Los Angeles, California to pursue a dream she’d always wanted.

Shortly after her arrival in L.A., she met the celerity star performer Prince and later signed to Prince’s Paisely Park Records where she also released her self-titled debut album. Seeing a good future for Electra, publicity roared including ads in Rolling Stone and on MTV. But despite the publicity, the album was a flop.

In 1996, the reinvented Carmen Electra popped out of the scene. Carmen posted nude for Playboy Magazine enlivening audience’s acquiescence. Still blazing she appeared in a video still for Playboy, "Playboy Cheerleaders", singing the show stopper, "2-4-6-8".

On that same year, she became part of MTV’s Singled Out as October 4, 1996 when it was announced that she would take over from Jenny McCarthy (also a Playboy veteran) as Chris Hardwick's co-host for at least 65 episodes.

Since then Carmen has been appearing in many television shows and motion pictures including Loveline, Hyperion Bay, Good Burger, Baywatch, Baywatch Nights and All That, Dust and Stardust.

Continually, Carmen is a substance of various tabloids mostly for her sensational life being married, divorced, annulled, or just plain dating.
