Allison Hannigan was born on March 24, 1974 to a truck driver father and a real estate mother in Washington D.C. but soon, her parents divorced in 1976. At the aged of two, they moved to Atlanta which became a big bowl of opportunities for Allison. Here is where she started acting in front of the camera at the tender age of 4 doing commercials for companies like McDonald's, Six Flags Amusement Parks and Oreo cookies.

Reaching the age of 11, she vacated Atlanta and moved to Los Angeles to purse acting roles for television and the big screen. She had a leap forward in acting when she was cast in “My Stepmother is an Alien” at age 13.

She starred in "Picket Fences" (1992), "Roseanne" (1998), "Touched by an Angel" (1994) and the "The Torkelsons," prior to casting as Wilow Rosenberg and Buffy’s best friend in her most notorious role yet in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" in 1997, averaging a stunning $250,000 earning per episode.

Hannigan is also well known for her depiction of the flute playing band camper, Michelle, in the sequel "American Pie’" "American Pie 2," and American Wedding (a.k.a. American Pie: The Wedding).

She was engaged to actor Alex Denisof in 2002 and married in October 11, 2003.
